Airpods pro 2 hearing aids app in Belgium

Dear reader,

I contact Genius regarding the launch of my ipod pro2 2024 as a hearing aid application.
The recent IOS 18.2 upgrade didn’t solve the problem.

After performing the hearing test, the next step, ie, parametrising the hearing application for your personnel needs remains invisible. Consulting YouTube confirm that my app isn’t installed as in the USA for exemple.

In the list of availability, Belgium and Spain are still not mentioned as authorised to use these ipod pro 2 as hearing aids. Why?

Please can anybody let me know what I can do about it. Thank you Jos

    Apparently the Belgian Health authority hasn't given permission (yet) to use the AirPods as an hearing aid in Belgium.

    Is there any news from the Belgian Health authority?
    Is there any way to launch the hearing application made for the airpod pro 2 (2024) trough a VPN bypass? Regards Jos

    I don’t know, I don’t live there.

    It’s determined by where you live, I know of someone who lives in Thailand and who has a Dutch Apple account but is not able to activate it. VPN didn’t help. While someone with a Belgian account in Germany was able to get it working.

    Does anybody know exaclty which service here in Belgium needs to give its approval for this?
    I contacted a few services in Belgium and none of them is aware of any request from Apple...
    with "Belgian Health authority" do you mean this service: https://www.famhp.be?
    They also told me that did not receive any request from Apple...

    From their web site: "Hearing Aid features are regulated health features that require approval and will be offered after authorization is received."

    I don't know which agency needs to give approval, they don't mention it.
