iMac probleem na de laatste update naar OS Catalina 10.15.4

Na de laatste update is mijn iMac erg traag geworden. Als ik een nieuwe pagina wil bezoeken veranderd het zandlopertje is een roodgekleurde bal.
Ook verschillende programma's blijft het zandlopertje draaien. Zelfs bij het afsluiten v.d. iMac blijft het draaien. Dit duurt ongeveer 2,5 minuut. Dacht eerst dat het lag aan mijn internet verbinding maar las dat dit vaker voorkwam. Alleen is de discussie beëindig en ik niet weet wat ik moet doen.
Als ik iets verkeerd doet laat het mij dan weten, want constant een harde stop geven daar wordt je ook niet goed van

Ik heb een mac mini late 2012 en merk wel dat ie met die verschillende updates van Catalina wel wat trager is geworden. Steeds vaker het strandballetje. Een quad core i5 met 32 GB? Die kan alleen maar vertragen als er iets verschrikkelijk in de weg zit.

Kijk eens na wat er allemaal in de achtergrond draait dat niet van Apple is. Denk aan virusscanners, malwarescanners, cleaners enz... Ook residente software die je van het internet hebt geplukt.

ik heb het zelfde probleem veel last van de strandbal zie hier boven de test moest hem wat inkorten omdat hij te lang was om te plaatsen. Het is een Imac uit eind 2013 i5 met 8 gb Zou jij eens kunnen kijken of je wat vreemds ziet. Malwarebytes en Cleanmymac reeds verwijdert ik zou je heel erg dankbaar zijn. groetjes Frank

Inderdaad van de Outsiders maar ik ben van de tijd toen er nog geen televisie was. Helaas heb ik geen verstand van die rapporten die EtreCheck geeft. Ik gebruik het om het aan anderen te laten zien. Wat ik wel zag is dat er veel externe schijven aan je mac hebt hangen en dat je deze maand een antivirus programma hebt geïnstalleerd. Sinds 2007 heb ik nu mijn tweede mac en heb in die tijd wel geleerd dat als er teveel externe schijven aan je mac hangen dat de boel een beetje vertraagt. Als je bepaalde dingen aan het doen bent op je computer hoor je om de zoveel tijd dat er ergens een externe schijf aan het opstarten is. Ik lees in je rapport dat je ook Airo antivirus hebt geïnstalleerd. Weggooien heeft nu geen nut meer want ik denk dat Cleanmymac je systeem naar de klote heeft gebracht. De meningen zullen wel zeer verschillend zijn maar blijf weg van die antivirus programma's. Ook Malwarebytes die de mac op de achtergrond in de gaten houd kan de boel vertragen

Bedankt voor de snelle reactie heb alles nu goed verwijdert ( Airo Cleanmymac en Malwarebytes ) en er hangt maar 1 externe schijf aan deze is voor Time Machine en wie weet komt Timosha ook nog met wat tips.
Tot nu toe toch nog wel het stranballetje maar niet zo lang meer. Top bedankt

Ook hier weer CleanMyMac en nog erger Tidy-up van dezelfde ontwikkelaar. Vuze kan ook de boosdoener zijn en u gebruikt 32Bits apps. CleanMyMac en Tidy-up halen meer weg uit het systeem dan je lief is. Vuze is een zwaar programma. Ooit een Back-up teruggezet ????

Hartelijk dank voor dit allemaal, ik ga kijken wat ik hier aan kan doen. Een backup heb ik nooit terug gezet. Maar ik ga het proberen.

Het lijkt erop dat het die vervelende strandbal top normaal heb gebracht. Ik heb een update naar een eerder datum gezet en het werkt weer bijna prima. Alleen vraagt het nu om de nieuwe update naar 10.15.4 te doen. Met deze update kreeg ik de problemen met de iMac. Dus wat is verstandigere een update wachten of negeren.
