Hebben meerdere Mojave gebruikers last van het strandballetje.

November 2018 aangepast in macOS 10.14 Mojave
Ik moet zeggen sinds ik Mojave gebruik op iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013) steeds vaker het strandballetje zie dan voor de update.
Ik merk dit vooral bij berichten boeken itunes en foto's, dit werkte toch echt wat sneller in High Sierra.
Zijn er meer mensen die dit probleem onder vinden.

    Ik vind dat jij nogal veel "cleaners" gebruikt. En ook nog een virusscanner die de meeste tijd met zich zelf bezig is. Kijk eens in de Activiteitenweergave hoe die dingen zich gedragen.

    Als je dat aan mij vraagt dan zeg ik "verwijder ze allemaal". Ik gebruik sinds 1984 Macintosh computers en heb nog nooit "cleaners" of virusscanners nodig gehad. Maar goed, dat moet iedereen voor zich zelf beslissen.

    VPN is een Virtual Private Network. Als je geen VPN nodig hebt dan verwijder die maar.

    Cleaners en virusscanners worden niet verwijderd door ze in de prullenbak te gooien. Die dingen laten nog een hele boel achter waaronder Launch Daemons en Agents. Die dingen moet je verwijderen met de meegeleverde uninstaller. Indien die niet meegeleverd werd moet je zoiets als AppDelete van Reggie Ashworth gebruiken.

    Cleaners en virusscanners graven zich heel diep in het systeem in en dat is op zich al een reden om ze niet te gebruiken.

    De hosts database is compleet vernacheld. Telkens de Mac iets op het Internet doet moet hij eerst door die 56357 entries in de hosts database fietsen.

    De hosts database moet er zo uitzien:

    Je kan de hosts database in een terminal bekijken met het commando:

    cat /etc/hosts

    Tja, dat gebeurt in ieder geval niet vanzelf. Het is niet zo dat het macOS besturingssysteem op een zonnige ochtend tegen zichzelf zegt: "ik zal de hosts database eens gaan verknoeien".

    Om de hosts database te wijzigen zijn administrator rechten noodzakelijk. Sommige illegale software installaties, voornamelijk van Adobe, wijzigen de hosts database om een controle van de licentie te vermijden.

    Je kan de hosts database aanpassen met de nano editor. Maar dat gaat een hele klus worden. Het terminal commando is:

    sudo nano /etc/hosts

    sudo (superuser do) verlangt het administrator wachtwoord. Als je het wachtwoord intikt zie je het niet. Dus, het wachtwoord intikken en dan enter toetsen.

    Je kan de hosts database ook verwijderen en dan macOS opnieuw installeren. Zie het onderstaande topic:

  • Dag Timosha......Jmmmm.... Je hebt volkomen gelijk....gebeurt niet vanzelf..vraag me af wat er dan fout is gedaan door mij.... Wellicht is het 't meest handige?.....Mojave clean te installeren...moet ik dan CMD + R gebruiken???
  • By the way.....de database kun je niet selecteren, wat er niet thuishoort, en dan verwijderen? Zal wel niet, echter hoe dan..Windows beheerste ik wel maar Apple is helemaal nieuw, echter, veel beter...zucht..

    Ingeloha wie weet kan je iemand vinden die je kan helpen via schermdeling hij kan dan met jou toestemming in jou mac kijken op afstand en je misschien advies geven. Of e.e.a. voor je oplossen. Het moet dus wel iemand zijn die je kunt vertrouwen .
    Ik heb dat een keer gedaan met Apple help desk, en dat ging perfect.

    In Windows is er ook een hosts database en als je die verknoeit heb je exact hetzelfde probleem.

    Kijk in het topic dat ik in mijn vorig bericht heb geciteerd hoe je de hosts database kan verwijderen en dan macOS opnieuw kan installeren.
